Lulla Smith Silk Velvet
If Dupioni silk is the “fabric of queens,” then silk velvet is the “fabric of kings.” It has been used in the making of royal robes, crowns and on thrones for over 4,000 years. Silk velvet is a type of woven, tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed with a short, dense pile giving it a distinctive feel. It is lustrous, exceptionally soft and drapes beautifully.
Our 2013 collection includes silk velvets in creamy ivory, soft pink, warm pewter, rich chocolate, and midnight blue.
